Package: fontconfig
Version: 2.3.2-5.1
Severity: normal
The manual pages for fc-list and fc-cache are missing from this
version. (fc-match is present.) I notice that the version just
uploaded to incoming includes the manual pages (at least on i386),
however when I built the package from source the manual pages were not
generated. I note that these manual pages are distributed in SGML
format, and the top of those files say:
============================================================
<!-- Process this file with docbook-to-man to generate an nroff manual
page: `docbook-to-man manpage.sgml > manpage.1'. You may view
the manual page with: `docbook-to-man manpage.sgml | nroff -man |
less'. A typical entry in a Makefile or Makefile.am is:
manpage.1: manpage.sgml
docbook-to-man $< > $@
The docbook-to-man binary is found in the docbook-to-man package.
Please remember that if you create the nroff version in one of the
debian/rules file targets (such as build), you will need to include
docbook-to-man in your Build-Depends control field.
-->
============================================================
There is no Build-Depends on docbook-to-man. However, I tried
installing docbook-to-man and for some reason this documentation still
failed to build. Perhaps there is something unusual about your build
environment?
