They are symlinks in the firmware-nvidia-graphics package, which leads to initramfs-tools being the problem. In *Experimental* there's version 0.143 and there's at least 1 report that that keeps the symlinks (IOW: fixes the problem most likely) Can you test whether the problem is indeed fixed with initramfs-tools version 0.143?
