Is there a short term workaround you can suggest? I tried searching for the error message in the debian package sources, something like "Re-installing the plugin" or "plugin.*could not be loaded" but couldn't find anything.
As a matter of fact, there is. Simply delete the two plugin directories: /usr/lib/cura/plugins/AMFReader/ /usr/lib/cura/plugins/TrimeshReader/ This should make the errors go away. Since you seem to be running Debian stable, it's unlikely that python3-trimesh will ever be available there. But we may still push an update the removes the two plugins at some point.
