While this could be done as a Debian specific patch, this could be useful to people using other distros too. Could you report this request to the upstream project at https://github.com/mjakeman/extension-manager/issues ? Also, you could try to submit your own git merge request there for this if you want. Note that Unity does not use GNOME Shell at all so you don't want Unity in the OnlyShowIn field. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
