Package: xfce4-terminal Version: 1.1.3-1 Severity: minor X-Debbugs-Cc: w...@rivoreo.one
Hello. For anyone don't aware this type of escape sequences, open a xfce4-terminal(1) window, with bash(1) running in it, then type: printf '\x1b[8;2;20000;t' See https://invisible-island.net/xterm/ctlseqs/ctlseqs.html for more. Apparently xfce4-terminal don't support many more annoying sequences, but still supporting this 'resize window by characters' sequence. The example above resizes the window to be 20000 characters wide; if the window manager didn't protect against this insanely large resize request, it would be a pain to manually resize it back. In my opinion, terminal applications should never be allowed to change the terminal window size. I don't want this "feature" at all. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: ppc64 Kernel: Linux 4.19.271-rivoreo-powerpc64-largepage (SMP w/176 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=zh_TW:zh_CN:zh:en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: unable to detect Versions of packages xfce4-terminal depends on: ii exo-utils 4.18.0-1+b1 ii libatk1.0-0t64 2.52.0-1 ii libc6 2.38-12 ii libcairo2 1.18.0-3+b1 ii libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.12+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.80.2-2 ii libgtk-3-0t64 3.24.42-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.52.2+ds-1 ii libpcre2-8-0 10.42-4+b1 ii libutempter0 1.2.1-3 ii libvte-2.91-0 0.75.92-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.7-1 ii libxfce4ui-2-0 4.18.4-1+b1 ii libxfce4util7 4.18.1-2+b1 ii libxfconf-0-3 4.18.1-1+b1 ii perl 5.36.0-9 Versions of packages xfce4-terminal recommends: ii dbus-x11 [dbus-session-bus] 1.14.10-4+b1 xfce4-terminal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
