Package: gdm Version: 2.14.5-1 Severity: wishlist the drawing process of the gdm login screen is slightly disorienting, and is definately not as professional-looking as other operating system login screens. the backdrop appears to be drawn in top-to-bottom manner over a period of about half a second. it would be better if the screen were black until the completely rendered login screen was ready to be shown. and even better, it would be nice if the login screen gently faded in (over the same half a second period seems reasonable). thank you for your consideration and hard work. please pass upstream if this feature request makes more sense there.
