Please set BOOTLOGD_ENABLE to Yes in /etc/default/bootlogd. Then restart the system, do *not* assemble the array. Instead mail me the relevant portions of /var/log/boot and /var/log/kern.log, as well as the contents of /proc/mdstat, and the output of - ls -l /dev/md* - mdadm -Es - mdadm -E /dev/sdb1 (assuming sdb1 is part of your /boot array) Also, which kernel do you use? -- .''`. martin f. krafft <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : :' : proud Debian developer and author: http://debiansystem.info `. `'` `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing a system Escape Meta Alt Control Shift
