On my install-box with Debian bookworm, the package di-netboot-assistant serves mismatching kernel and kernel-modules for trixie for PXE boot installation. I guess, that the mismatch is a result of the wrong content of the netboot.tar.gz archive from above. At least di-netboot-assistant relies on this archive.
