If the firmware files are also installed on Linux Mint, then the issue is likely with the nouveau drivers. Debian does have a nvidia-graphics-drivers source package, so maybe an appropriate version of that may help? In any case, when crashes happen, it REALLY helps if f.e. `dmesg` output is shared which shows the crash. > This is a SERIOUS problem and after a few months, the issue is not solved.
