Package: pre-commit Version: 3.6.0-1 Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer, python3-importlib-metadata provides "importlib_metadata" which is a backport of "importlib.metadata" from the standard library. pre-commit is modern, fast moving tool, it only uses "importlib.metadata". "importlib_metadata" is now completely useless and should be removed from Debian some day.
