Dear maintainer, The Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) as specified in RFC 7252 is an emerging protocol used in many IoT applications. In Debian there are at least two CoAP implementations: libcoap3 and aiocoap. The former is a C library and the latter is a Python module, while both of them provide simple command line clients. IANA assigned the port 5683 to unencrypted CoAP using TCP and UDP and it assigned the port 5684 to (D)TLS-secured CoAP. Please add something like the following to /etc/services: coap 5683/tcp # Constrained Application Protocol coap 5683/udp # Constrained Application Protocol coaps 5684/tcp # Constrained Application Protocol over TLS coaps 5684/udp # Constrained Application Protocol over DTLS Cheers, Adi
