When I start xmms I get: $ xmms /usr/lib/xmms/Output/libALSA.so: symbol snd_pcm_hw_params_set_channels_near, version ALSA_0.9.0rc4 not defined in file libasound.so.2 with link time reference After that xmms starts but has no alsa output plugin in the preferences.
