Hi. In commit e38e2a8af632a660d3c01a936796622fce186020 it looks that you added passwd to the Build-Depends. The bug (after preinst moved to postinst) was about adding it to the Depends field. In fact, the changelog was correct for what it had to be done, just not for what it was actually done. (note: shim FTBFS in a clean chroot because of this bug) Thanks.
