Hi, After an eight year gap I'm afraid save files were not compatible anyway, but please could you expand on what you mean by character history? Which files are missing? Most personal stuff should be in ~/.angband/Angband, which is not cleansed. I didn't have anything in /var/games/angband when I tested the package, so curious to know what you lost.
