Almost certainly this. Check the contents of your /etc/colordiffrc and ~/.colordiffrc, also how do they relate to your console colours? colordiff cannot detect your console's colours and so if you have a colour set to the same as your terminal background, you'll get these phantom blank lines. Also, review /usr/share/doc/colordiff/README.Debian, especially its comments relating to dark and light backgrounds. Graham: unless the submitter has further comments, I think this bug can be closed.
