texlive-extra-utils is required for pdfjam, which is used in the `script_pocketmod` plugin. dpkg -S bin/pdfjam texlive-extra-utils: /usr/bin/pdfjam Looks like this plugin adds lots of dependency for gtg (see [1] for java dependency also) but it's not mandatory for basic usage of gtg.
