the bug is on pbuilder here. and pbuilder just works fine with default 
settings. the bug appear only with sudo, and on specific packages that 
ensure you are not root during some parts of the process. that does not 
makes the "bug" RC at all IMHO.

you may want refer to aegis, and then reopen a bug here if needed. but 
it looks like that aegis just builds fine:
