Can you give some more information about your setup? I believe it would be interesting to have at least the following information: - the relevant parts of your exim configuration, especially of course the router/transport combination containing the fallback host - Your IP setup, hopefully sufficiently described by the output of the "ip addr" and "ip route" command. - The output of exim -bt with an address that can be used to reproduce the issue - Infomation about what your local resolver returns when it is queried for the name of the fallback host - Information how attempts to establish an SMTP connect to the IP addresses the local resolver returns go out Greetings Marc -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc Haber | "I don't trust Computers.
