Package: arp-scan Version: 1.10.0-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
When I run arp-scan with the default parameters, I get a warning with the text: > WARNING: Cannot open MAC/Vendor file ieee-oui.txt: Permission denied > WARNING: Cannot open MAC/Vendor file mac-vendor.txt: Permission denied But if you explicitly specify the options "--ouifile=/usr/share/arp-scan/ieee-oui.txt" and "--macfile=/etc/arp-scan/mac-vendor.txt" with the required files, then the scanning goes fine. I assume that there are wrong characters in the file paths. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.3.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to ru_RU.UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages arp-scan depends on: ii libc6 2.37-6 ii libcap2 1:2.66-4 ii libpcap0.8 1.10.4-2 Versions of packages arp-scan recommends: ii ieee-data 20220827.1 ii libtext-csv-perl 2.02-2 ii libwww-perl 6.71-2 arp-scan suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed
