I tried with qterminal, kitty and deepin-terminal and I could repro it in all the three. I really doubt if it is specific to terminal. And... I tried with wezterm. It worked on first try, but on trying to paste the text 2-3 times in a row (on the same compose area) I'm able to see a hang.
