Me too was unable to reproduce it.

Anyhow, we re-worked a lot the alternative stuff in the last months. I
think we should strive for making stuff work in the chroot and in
upgrading from sarge to the current unstable version, since a lot of
other bugs can be caused by misbehaviour in past unstable-only versions.

I tried to test the upgrade from sarge yesterday but I failed due to
dependencies issues. Now that you have backported vim7 for sarge we can
test it.
