In the synopsis:
git diff [<options>] <commit>...<commit> [--] [<path>...]
In this line, three dots (...) appear twice, but with 2 completely
different meanings: the first one is a literal one, the second one
meaning one or more. Ditto at other places.
A different style should be used to differentiate them. A possibility,
now that Unicode is common, would be to use U+2026 HORIZONTAL ELLIPSIS
(…) to mean one or more.
