Why couldn't DD subscribe themselves without control? You use the hash-token subscription method but you only allow it for @debian.org email. I don't see the point of not using a list since the informations are available, we ought to make it easy to be able to follow what's going on instead of having to setup a scary script to follow the archived mbox.
