Control: fixed -1 20191231.79a5378-1I think Pattern's difficulties with generating 1xn puzzles were fixed by this upstream commit:

To demonstrate the fix, run "sgt-pattern --generate 1000 1x1". Pattern will generate 1000 rather uninteresting puzzles in a fraction of a second.
