Package: gstreamer1.0-plugins-base-apps
Version: 1.22.0-3
Severity: normal

Hi there,

I have a couple of videos here, mostly in MP4 v2 format [1], that
gstreamer-based players have some problems with. In this specific
case, playing a video with gst-play-1.0 and seeking through the video
ultimately leads to the video stream hanging, i.e. still frame without
sound. The app is still responsive, though, so that I can still seek
from one audioless still frame to the next (or previous), but not
much more.

In order to reproduce, open a video file and press right/left arrow
keys in quick succession. Sometimes it takes some more approaches,
some other times the video freezes after a simple e.g.
right/right/right/left sequence.

The same happens in Totem, btw, which is where I found the bug.
However, I wanted to check if it's a bug in the Totem app or in
gstramer itself and thus reproduced it with the most basic
gstreamer-based player I could imagine. I am still not sure if this is
the right package to assign this bug to.

Cheers,

 - Fabian
