As the twitter API is no longer free to use, the upstream developer of
oysttyer stopped maintaining this software.
According to §II.a of the Developer Agreement [1] as of today it is
forbidden to "use or access the Licensed Materials to create or attempt
to create a substitute or similar service or product to the Twitter
Applications"
So this software must not be used to access Tweets and Debian should no
longer distribute it.
Apart from this, I don't think that Debian should do anything at all to
support this plattform any longer.
