Thank you for verifying it on gnome. I can't see the benefit of installing the
remaining xdg-desktop-portal packages. For instance, the one for kde wants to
install a ton of kde packages and the wlr one wants to install pipewire etc.

On the other hand, I found this patch on its github page which may be related
to the issue. I am mentioning it here because all similar issues to the one
above were reported to gtk-related flatpak apps too.
