Then why does my xterm bash session do not have the settings from
/etc/default/locale in the environment? I already tried to track this
down with other users from debian-user-german list, wihtout success. I
have checked that there are no changes in
. gdm config, including init scripts.
. ssh config
. pam/locale config
My xfce session is loaded via the "Last Session" and my .dmrc shows
xfce4.
I tried: xfce as default and as selected, and failsafe. Always the same.
I checked at the beginning of the Xsession.d and at the end of the
Xsession.d scripts, and at the beginning of 20x11-common_process-args
there already the settings from /etc/default/locale are not present.
I wrote
LC_CTYPE=...
and
export LC_CTYPE=...
into the /etc/default/locale files.
Nothing changes the fact that every program I start as an unset
LC_CTYPE. Something I don't want.
So what else can I do to find the problem?
So I still consider this not solved, because the settings in my X ses
