Package: hashdeep Version: 4.4-7 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Hi, the man pages contain a reference to sha3deep: sha3deep - Compute and compare SHA-3-256 message digests However, this binary is not installed. Creating a symlink named "sha3deep" to the binary does not work around the issue: 10:31:05 [root@batou:/usr/local/bin] # ln -s ../../bin/md5deep sha3deep 10:31:09 [root@batou:/usr/local/bin] # ./sha3deep sha3deep: Unknown algorithm: sha3 Try `sha3deep -h` for more information. So it seems like the binary doesn't support SHA3-256, and the line should be removed in the man page.
