I've been trying to figure out what kernel package I'm supposed to use to run Linux v2.6 on a Pentium I, which is what the NFS server in question is. Do you have any idea about that? I should mention that the NFS client was running Linux v2.6, although I don't see why that should matter; presumably the NFS wire protocol is still the same. I have some recollection about seeing it mentioned in the documentation somewhere that exporting root filesystems might be a problem, because of something about the device ID. I can't find that now; I suspect it was in an earlier version of the NFS packages. As soon as I manage to get Linux v2.6 running on the server, I'll try all four permutations of 2.4/2.6 on the client and server and see what happens. -- Ian Bruce -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
