How do you consider making users do so?
Add an otherwise empty youtube-dl binary package to src:yt-dlp
with both README.Debian and NEWS.Debian (for apt-listchanges)
telling them to switch but that their command line options and
configuration files are no good any longer, and with no compat
binary/symlink?
Uh yay. It probably will have to be that, if it’s not a drop-in
replacement, especially if frontends break. Users’ own scripts
would also break then so they’d need a heads-up.
