Dear maintainer,

As you know from https://bugs.debian.org/1024593 I'm working with a libpinyin transition due to a SONAME bump. The transition has completed in Debian, but not yet in Ubuntu.

The problem in Ubuntu proved to be that maliit-framework in Ubuntu carries some changes, which prevent autosync and lead to the version in Ubuntu being too old. I have just uploaded a merged version:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/maliit-framework/2.3.0-3ubuntu1

and hopefully that will lead to the libpinyin transition to complete also in Ubuntu.

For the future it would be more convenient if maliit-framework in Debian could be changed in a way which allows Ubuntu to simply sync the source. Deeming from other C++ packages I'm involved in, I think that could be achieved if maliit-framework is built in Debian with LTO enabled.

If you approve, I can try to make that change. If you look at the latest commits here:

https://salsa.debian.org/input-method-team/marisa/-/commits/master

you get an idea of what I have in mind.

Let me know.
