Package: alsa-utils Version: 1.0.11-2 Followup-For: Bug #366324
I have the very same problem on my sid machine. Yesterday I did a 'apt-get upgrade', and since then... no sound. I can start e.g. xmms (configured to use either OSS or ALSA, doesn't matter). I can run aumix and alsamixer. I can play around with the volume controls all that I want. I've triple-checked and unmuted every single control. But there's not the tiniest noise coming from my speakers (I even checked the cables). My sound card's module is snd-via82xx and I'm running a self-built 2.6.13.2.
