Package: rtl8723bt-firmware Version: 20181104-1 Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: isaac.t...@canonical.com
Dear Maintainer, The rtl8723ds is a chip in the same family as the other Bluetooth adapters supported by this package which requires a different set of firmware binaries. The firmware binaries are available from the following GitHub repository: https://github.com/armbian/firmware/tree/master/rtl_bt According to the WHENCE file in the package, the existing firmware files were also sourced from this repository. However it's not fully clear if these firmware files fall under the same license as the existing rtl_bt files, as there is no license information in the Armbian firmware repository. Do you have any information about where the license for the existing firmware files came from, and if the others are covered under the same license? -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers jammy-updates APT policy: (500, 'jammy-updates'), (500, 'jammy-security'), (500, 'jammy'), (100, 'jammy-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.15.0-52-generic (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
