Dear Maintainer, For now, the /sbin/mount.ntfs file is a symlink to mount.ntfs-3g I would like to have both ntfs-3g and another driver installed and for that, I would like to be able to choose whether mount.ntfs is the one of ntfs-3g, or of the other driver. Currently I can't have another package write over mount.ntfs since it is the one of ntfs-3g. Could you consider making that link use the "alternatives" system? You could add this file "debian/ntfs-3g.alternatives" with this content: Name: mount.ntfs Link: /sbin/mount.ntfs Alternative: /sbin/mount.ntfs-3g Priority: 50 This should then automatically be managed by dh_installalternatives You may also need to remove the link you currently create in "debian/ntfs-3g.links" Regards -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (991, 'stable-updates'), (991, 'stable'), (95, 'testing'), (90, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-18-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr:en_US Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages ntfs-3g depends on: ii fuse3 [fuse] 3.10.3-2 ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u4 ii libgcrypt20 1.8.7-6 ii libgnutls30 3.7.1-5+deb11u2 ii libntfs-3g883 1:2017.3.23AR.3-4+deb11u2 ntfs-3g recommends no packages.
