Hello Justin, hi folks,

sorry for my late answer, but I have some more (perhaps interesting) facts
about my firefox problems:

1) Installed extensions:
        a) DOM Inspector 1.0 (greyed out because not compatible)
        b) Deutsch (DE) Language Pack 1.5.0.1 (greyed out because not
compatible)
        c) DOM Inspector 1.8.0.3

2) starting firefox in safe-mode as well as creating a new user doesn't solve
the problem.

3) After upgrading to the new version 1.5.0.3 when I first started firefox
again, there was the following message (which never ever appeared afterwards)

app-global 1.0
app-global 1.5.0.1

The following components are not compatible with the new version of FIrefox
you have just installed.
They have been disabled until compatible versions are installed.
Firefox can check for and install newer, compatible versions of these
components.

Question: How do I get this app-global, and how do I delete the old ones? I
didn't find them in my system, as well as I don't know how to deinstall the
old versions of DOM Inspector and Language Pack. I tried it via the Debian
Packet Management but there are no language packs installed.

4) I also found out that the search option (CTRL + F) doesn't work as well, it
just opens the dialog on bottom of the page, but when I try to do a search
nothing happens.

Thanks for reading and answering my questions.
