Hi, We are about to start the ruby3.1 transition in unstable. While trying to rebuild ruby-netcdf with ruby3.1 enabled, the build failed. Relevant part of the build log (hopefully): > /usr/bin/ruby3.1 /usr/bin/gem2deb-test-runner > > ┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ > │ Run tests for ruby3.1 from debian/ruby-test-files.yaml > │ > └──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ > > RUBYLIB=/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/debian/ruby-netcdf/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ruby/vendor_ruby/3.1.0:/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/debian/ruby-netcdf/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby:. > > GEM_PATH=/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/debian/ruby-netcdf/usr/share/rubygems-integration/3.1.0:/var/lib/gems/3.1.0:/usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/3.1.0:/usr/lib/ruby/gems/3.1.0:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ruby/gems/3.1.0:/usr/share/rubygems-integration/3.1.0:/usr/share/rubygems-integration/all:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/rubygems-integration/3.1.0 > ruby3.1 -ryaml -e YAML.load_file\(\"debian/ruby-test-files.yaml\"\).each\ > \{\ \|f\|\ require\ f\ \} > Loaded suite -e > Started > ....F > =============================================================================== > Failure: test_clone_netcdf_clone(TestClone): <false> is not true. > /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/test/clone.rb:43:in `test_clone_netcdf_clone' > 40: > 41: def test_clone_netcdf_clone > 42: f = @f.clone > => 43: assert(@f.frozen? == f.frozen?) > 44: # d = @d.dup > 45: # v = @v.dup > 46: # a = @a.dup > =============================================================================== > F > =============================================================================== > Failure: test_clone_netcdf_path(TestClone): <false> is not true. > /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/test/clone.rb:32:in `test_clone_netcdf_path' > 29: def test_clone_netcdf_path > 30: f = @f.clone > 31: assert_equal @f.path, f.path > => 32: assert(@f.frozen? == f.frozen?) > 33: d = @d.clone > 34: assert_equal @d, d > 35: v = @v.clone > =============================================================================== > .....E > =============================================================================== > Error: test_unpack_type_fixed_to_sfloat(TestFactorOffset): NetcdfBadid: > NetCDF: Not a valid ID > /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/debian/ruby-netcdf/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/numru/netcdf.rb:316:in > `put_attraw' > /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/debian/ruby-netcdf/usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/numru/netcdf.rb:316:in > `put_att' > /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/test/factor_offset.rb:16:in `setup' > =============================================================================== > ........ > Finished in 0.063008154 seconds. > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > 20 tests, 122 assertions, 2 failures, 1 errors, 0 pendings, 0 omissions, 0 > notifications > 85% passed > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > 317.42 tests/s, 1936.26 assertions/s > ERROR: Test "ruby3.1" failed. The full build log is available from: https://people.debian.org/~terceiro/ruby3.1/ruby-netcdf_0.8.0-2+rebuild1658139020_amd64.log To reproduce this, you need to install ruby-all-dev >= 1:3.0+2 (in experimental). If you fail to reproduce, please provide a build log and diff it with mine so that we can identify if something relevant changed in the meantime. A list of current common problems and possible solutions is available at http://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/FTBFS . You're welcome to contribute! If you reassign this bug to another package, please marking it as 'affects'-ing this package. See https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control#affects
