I am packaging this because I have domains on Freeenom and I use certbot for certificates. My internet service provider has blocked port 80, so I cannot prove my ownership of the domain using a normal HTTP challenge. This software was the only way that I was able to obtain a certificate for my Freenom domains using only a DNS challenge. I will be maintaining this package inside the Python team. -- Ben Westover
