When you set up a system user, the general rule of thumb is to specify their home somewhere with the --home argument. if you don't do this, adduser defaults to /home/$user. You can also specify --no-create-home to avoid the issue entirely, if they don't need a $HOME. Take care, -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- | ,''`.
