Package: terminus Version: 1.15.1-2 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
I am using LXQT with qterminal as default terminal. Note that qterminal has an option to set the TERM variable (by default xterm-256color) When starting from a LXQT launcher (icon, Alt-F2, launcher in panel), terminus keeps TERM sets to "qterminal". It is quite annoying (no backspace in zsh and bash, aptitude do not start, ...). terminus should set the TERM variable to an appropriate value. Probably to xterm-256color ? To reproduce from other terminal, or environment: TERM=qterminal terminus The same test with other terminals: they set the TERM variable as expected (tested: qterminal, terminator, gnome-terminal, konsole, kitty, sakura, urxvt, uxterm, xterm).
