An interesting find. I quickly browsed there, but don't immediately see a solution in there. I'll take a closer look. Ironically, the smbclient I built locally from the current samba package does not work for me at all: it says protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_INVALID_NETWORK_RESPONSE after asking me for a password - when I try to connect to a share or get a list of shares. So far I don't know what it is.. :) /mjt
