Hello,

The code looks like called here:
scripts/lua/modules/lua_utils.lua:function check_latest_major_release()
scripts/lua/modules/toasts/predicates_defined_toasts.lua:    local message =
check_latest_major_release()

but I'm not ntopng user and lua confident to disable it without risks of
breaking something else.

G.

Dear Maintainer,

Logging into the ntop-ng webinterface, i get a warning on each page:

~~~
A new ntopng (v.3.0.0) is available for download: please upgrade.
~~~

I conclude that ntop-ng is "calling home" to check for new upstreams.
Please remove the relevant code from the Debian package, as it
constitutes a privacy breach.
