Dear Aurelien,

thanks for the bug report.

Correct. And it has been removed in the meanwhile, too.

Support for drivetemp has been merged into hobbit-plugins today, see
https://salsa.debian.org/debian/hobbit-plugins/-/merge_requests/3

Thanks goes to Jacek Tomasiak (Cc'ed).

I will probably make an upload of hobbit-plugins with that merge
request included soon.

ITYM "suggests", not "recommends". If it would have been a Recommends,
I would have downgraded that to Suggests now.

Since Debian Buster only has kernel 4.19, backports of hobbit-plugins
happen rather frequently (though usually internally) and we still have
support for hddtemp in hobbit-plugins, I do not plan to remove the
"Suggests" anytime soon as this IMHO would be a policy violation since
the package still has a relation with hddtemp even though it does no
more exist in Debian Unstable/Testing.

We though will likely remove the Suggests as well as the support for
querying hddtemp in a few years — but probably only when either Buster
ELTS goes EoL or Buster ELTS gets the kernel from Bullseye, whichever
comes first.

                Regards, Axel
