Since Debian Buster only has kernel 4.19, backports of hobbit-plugins happen rather frequently (though usually internally) and we still have support for hddtemp in hobbit-plugins, I do not plan to remove the "Suggests" anytime soon as this IMHO would be a policy violation since the package still has a relation with hddtemp even though it does no more exist in Debian Unstable/Testing. We though will likely remove the Suggests as well as the support for querying hddtemp in a few years — but probably only when either Buster ELTS goes EoL or Buster ELTS gets the kernel from Bullseye, whichever comes first.
