Package: kernel-package
Version: 10.045
Severity: normal

Here's the Depends field for a linux 2.6.16-5 image I built with make-kpkg:

Depends: yaird (>= 0.0.11-8) | initramfs-tools (>= 0.53) |
linux-initramfs-tool, coreutils | fileutils (>= 4.0)

Here's the Depends field for linux-image-2.6.16-1-amd64-k8:

Depends: module-init-tools (>= 0.9.13), e2fsprogs (>= 1.35-7), initramfs-tools
(>= 0.53) | yaird (>= 0.0.12-8) | linux-initramfs-tool

I recently started using debfoster and removed all non-custom kernels.
The result was that module-init-tools also got accidentally removed,
which broke my system. I had to use a rescue disk to fix the system.

I very much think that the packages produced by make-kpkg should depend
on module-init-tools to prevent this kind of thing from happening.
