Package: hddtemp
Version: 0.3-beta15-2
Severity: important

Since latest upgrade, hddtemp crashes when trying to monitor the
following hard drive:

% cat /proc/ide/hdb/model
WDC WD1200JB-00REA0

Before upgrade, that model was not recognised at all and as such was
never even attempted.

The daemon starts up as normal:
# /etc/init.d/hddtemp start
Starting disk temperature monitoring daemon: /dev/hda /dev/hdb.

But then crashes, leaving a stacktrace in /tmp:

# cat /tmp/hddtemp.backtrace.13977.ULbfPX
=== SEGFAULT (SEGV_ACCERR) : invalid access to 0xc, in 0x08049f5a
[13977] #1: /usr/sbin/hddtemp [0x8049f5a]
[13977] #2: /usr/sbin/hddtemp [0x804a25a]
[13977] #3: /usr/sbin/hddtemp [0x804b553]
[13977] #4: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xd0) [0xb7e65eb0]
[13977] #5: /usr/sbin/hddtemp [0x8049331]

Telling the daemon to monitor only hda (rather old Seagate) works,
trying to monitor only hdb causes the crash reliably. If I can provide
any further or more detailed information, I'll be glad to oblige. And
yes, I am also fully aware that this is very likely an upstream issue.

  Thanks.
