I've uploaded xpdf from bullseye to buster-backports. It is currently in NEW awaiting approval, which usually takes no more than a week. If you don't want to wait that long, I've also uploaded the .deb to https://people.debian.org/~fsfs/xpdf/ for manual download an installation ("sudo dpkg -i xpdf...deb", followed by "sudo apt-get install -f" if there are dependencies not yet installed on your system) HTH, Florian
