it appears upstream has gotten permission to relicense netperf under the MIT license and so it is DFSG compliant now and can move to main! See https://github.com/HewlettPackard/netperf/pull/54 While there isn't an upstream release tag for this change yet please consider packaging the git version since this would allow many people to finally use netperf!
