as you requested I checked with LANG=C man shutdown and there is a difference when doing juat man shutdown. In the English version this issue does not appear, only in my German version. If I would only use the English version, I suppose, I wouldn't have noticed this issue at all. Yes, I already read this and was happy for my 2 cents of improving debian. I followed the bugreport, but I do not undserstand correctly, I fear: I understood it that way, that the English manual is created and then automatically translated by a machine to the other languages. If so, I am wondering, why (as the English version is correct), the German translation got additional lines. This means for me, the translation does not create a new manual file, but changes an old one (and leaves not changed text parts as they are).
