- The problem with desktop folders occurs on my workstation + my laptop + a
virtual machine that I created.
Changing the display settings included in Cinnamon does not resolve anything.
See my settings as an attached file.
This happens on Debian 11 Bullseye Stable. Only one of the 10 installations I
was able to do was functioning normally.
And after a reinstallation of Debian 11 on this machine without formatting the
"/ home" the problem was also present on this machine there ;-(
- Yes, the tool is included in Mintwelcome which is present at LMDE and Mint
20.x. Maybe the Mint team can help you by providing you with some code and
helping you integrate it into Debian 11? For an informed user, configuring a
Debian machine under Cinnamon with the old style results in a loss of a good 20
minutes with each installation ;-( A beginner user will not be able to use the
old style. With the tool included in Mintwelcome is instant...
