After some discussion behind the scenes, added to contrib/systemd/ as of 6.4.25.rc2, without installation support. It should be easy enough for a distribution to add two post-install lines for contrib/systemd/README.systemd to the docs dir and the unit file to /usr/lib/systemd/user/.
